ABOUT ALPHA SOUTH CAROLINA
Alpha South Carolina/Christian Ministries of the Carolinas is a 501(C)3 organization based out of Mount Pleasant, SC and runs financially independent from Alpha USA and Alpha International. We raise funds from individuals, foundations and churches in order to introduce, train and coach churches, prisons, campuses and workplaces in South Carolina to utilize and successfully run the Alpha Course.

Hector has been involved with Alpha for nine years and has run 20 courses over that time period. He loves seeing people come to Jesus through Alpha and become engaged members of the mission of the church; bringing others to Christ.

Christine has been actively involved with Alpha since 2015. During this time, she has served at Alpha as table helper, table host, emcee for Alpha English sessions, kitchen helper, general organizer, and HUB Director. Her passion is spreading the Good News by helping churches and other organizations establish Alpha in their communities.
REV. GREG SMITH

Rev. Greg has been involved with Alpha for over 25 years and has actually led 32 Alpha courses! He's experienced in running Alpha at the different churches where he has served, but also has run Alpha for middle/high schoolers and on college campuses including The Citadel. His strong background in evangelism and outreach gives him a solid background in helping with Alpha courses.

Chris Petry has been on the Seacoast staff for 14 years and serves as the Central Student Pastor . As part of their growth and discipleship opportunities, they've used the Alpha Youth series over the years at a few of their campus locations. Chris also has attended and learned from "Experience Alpha" sessions at Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) in London to better understand Alpha and the culture behind it.

Laura has served at her Presbyterian church for 30+ years and has experience in all areas of ministry – children's, youth and adult. She's been both a small group leader and a coordinator numerous times for the Alpha at her church, for both the adult Alpha as well as Alpha Youth. She has also supervised an Alpha in their Special Needs Ministry as well as at Transitions Homeless Shelter.

Our vision is for everyone in South Carolina to hear the Gospel and experience the love of Jesus Christ (not just to take Alpha!)
WHAT WE DO
Introduce, train and coach churches, prisons, campuses and workplaces in South Carolina to utilize and successfully run the Alpha Course.

Partner in prayer, service, and giving. Together, with the Lord’s help, we can expand the reach of Alpha and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the communities of South Carolina.
